(This post was inspired by the WordPress weekly photo challenge, Beneath Your Feet.)
The busy fall season has begun and I have nearly a whole summer of writing to catch up on. That’s OK with me. Fall is a good season for writing. Not only do I have more time because the kids are back in school, but Seattle’s record heat wave has finally subsided and I can work in my upstairs office without feeling like I’m in a sauna.
How do I jump back into this blog? We had some memorable adventures this summer and for three weeks of it, we had an extra pair of feet along. We were the lucky hosts of a German exchange student. Getting to see our “backyard” through her eyes was a real treat. We did Seattle, Portland, the northern Oregon Coast and Mount St. Helens. I’d like to write about them.
After she left we finished summer with a fun family trip to San Francisco, Yosemite, Monterey. I’d like to write about these, too.
But where to start right now? I find the WordPress weekly photo challenges are a good place. There was a theme in early August called “Beneath Our Feet” that sprung to mind the day we were exploring the granite domes of Yosemite’s high country. Here it is. Time to get writing.
